Telling the technical story

We developed two digital animations to help Virgin Media Business promote the strength of its offer and success in UK public sector procurement. Our work helped the company demonstrate how it can help the public sector adapt to the challenges of austerity, by sharing services, collaborating across teams and regions and becoming more efficient.

Virgin Media Business operates the UK’s largest privately built fibre-optic network, handling 86,000 calls a minute with plenty of capacity to spare. In addition to offering superfast and ultrafast next-generation telecommunications. Its success in public sector procurement meant that it was only one of two companies awarded contracts across all technology tender lots. Virgin Media Business needed a way to get these messages across in an accessible and engaging way at trade fairs, conferences and beyond.

The animations we created used a lively mix of moving text, infographics, music and audio commentary to highlight key features of the Virgin Media Business experience. They brought dense-but-important facts about the network’s 330 ethernet nodes, 38,000 street cabinets and 186,000km of 300Mbps fibre-optic cabling to life in a quick, eye-catching and compelling way.
