Make It Stoke-on-Trent & Staffordshire

Make it Stoke’s overall objective is to drive inward investment to the Stoke and Staffordshire area.

We were appointed in 2015 to support this ambition with a range of marketing material, working with a wide range of partners and known brands to maximise awareness of the area’s offer.

The contract has seen us work with the Make it Stoke-on-Trent & Staffordshire inward investment team across a number of exhibition projects.

We designed and managed the installation of a stand at the leading property market exhibition, MIPIM UK. Working alongside The Constellation Partnership (formally known as The Northern Gateway Development Zone) we were asked to promote and encourage investment to the areas surrounding the HS2 line. We designed a promotional brochure to support the design visuals and managed the project through from design concepts to stand installation.

Following the success of MIPIM UK, we were commissioned to design a stand for Make it Stoke’s presence at Ceramics Expo in Ohio. As the ceramics capital of the UK, the Stoke team attended the exhibition to attract and encourage leading businesses to invest in British industry.

“ The companies loved the stand, the layout worked really well and we had positive comments from other UK exhibitors not part of our group, with two or three wanting to join us at the next show. All good news. Thanks for all your hard work and your patience, a difficult brief but one which you delivered with a smile!”

A key challenge in this project was to co-brand the stand with the GREAT Britain branding, working to existing brand guidelines but reflecting Stoke’s offer within it.

We organised and designed the stand, from build to design to installation, working closely with the Ceramics Expo organisers.

For ASEAN Ceramics in Bangkok, Thailand, we worked with the Department of Trade and Industry, Make it Stoke and seven other partners to deliver a complex stand. Our role involved sourcing and liasing with the overseas stand builder, arranging furniture and installation, organising overseas couriers and working closely with the DTI and the ASEAN organisers.
